Your Inner Blueprint: Values and Strengths
Humans Before Homes: Decluttering
Yes. All sessions are confidential and safe space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. Your privacy is respected at all times, which allows you to be honest about what you are experiencing and explore things more deeply.
There are a few legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or when required by law. These will always be explained clearly so you feel informed, supported, and safe throughout the process.
Confidentiality is an important part of building trust, and creating a therapeutic relationship where you can feel comfortable to show up as you are, and be who you are.
My approach is person-centred, value and strength-based, problem solving, supportive, and empowering. I work alongside you to help you better understand yourself, your experiences, and what may be holding you back. I also believe that knowledge is empowering so whenever possible I will share information that can provide insight for you to consider.
At the heart of my approach, is creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported, like having someone in your corner. I see my role as your “cheerleader,” encouraging your growth, reflecting your strengths, and your challenges to guide you to reconnect with your own ability to create change.
I’m in your corner when you need someone who is not going to judge you or criticise you, but rather, see your potential and support you to recognise it within yourself, helping you build the confidence and clarity to move forward in a way that feels true to you.
Medicare rebates are generally not available for Counselling or Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions at this time. Medicare typically provides rebates for services delivered by psychologists, social workers, or other allied health professionals under a Mental Health Care Plan.
As a member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association (AHA), you may be eligible for rebates through your private health funds, however this depends on your individual policy. Rebates are usually partial and subject to annual limits and best to check directly with your health fund to understand if you are eligible to claim.
Both online and face-to-face counselling can be effective, and the best option is the one that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
Online sessions offer flexibility, convenience, and the ability to access support from wherever you feel most at ease. Many people find it easier to open up in their own environment, without the added time or pressure of travel.
Face-to-face sessions can feel more personal for some, allowing for a stronger sense of connection and presence in the room.
Ultimately, the effectiveness of counselling comes from the quality of the connection and the work you do within the sessions, rather than the format itself. You are welcome to choose the option that suits your needs, or even alternate between both.
